Emphasis, aka italics, with *asterisks* or _underscores_.
Strong emphasis, aka bold, with **asterisks** or __underscores__.
Combined emphasis with **asterisks and _underscores_**.
Strikethrough uses two tildes. ~~Scratch this.~~
## LaTeX
$$ax^2+bx+c=0$$.
$$x_{1,2} = {-b\pm\sqrt{b^2 - 4ac} \over 2a}.$$
$$|\vec{A}|=\sqrt{A_x^2 + A_y^2 + A_z^2}.$$(1)
## Code blocks
Indent every line of the block by at least 4 spaces.
This is a normal paragraph:
This is a code block. With multiple lines.
Alternatively, you can use 3 backtick quote marks before and after the block, like this:
```
This is a code block
```
To add syntax highlighting to a code block, add the name of the language immediately after the backticks:
```javascript
var oldUnload = window.onbeforeunload;
window.onbeforeunload = function() {
saveCoverage();
if (oldUnload) {
return oldUnload.apply(this, arguments);
}
};
```
### Fenced Code Blocks
The basic Markdown syntax allows you to create code blocks by indenting lines by four spaces or one tab. If you find that inconvenient, try using fenced code blocks. Depending on your Markdown processor or editor, you’ll use three tick marks (```) or three tildes (~~~) on the lines before and after the code block. The best part? You don’t have to indent any lines!
The rendered output looks like this:
```
{
"firstName": "John",
"lastName": "Smith",
"age": 25
}
```

## Images
Here's our logo (hover to see the title text):
Inline-style: ![alt text](https://github.com/adam-p/markdown-here/raw/master/src/common/images/icon48.png "Logo Title Text 1")
To add an image, add an exclamation mark (!), followed by alt text in brackets, and the path or URL to the image asset in parentheses. You can optionally add a title after the URL in the parentheses.
The rendered output looks like this:
![Philadelphia's Magic Gardens. This place was so cool!](https://d33wubrfki0l68.cloudfront.net/eab45e25bb79970178fab7a2d10cba0209372a59/94d9e/assets/images/philly-magic-garden.jpg "Philadelphia's Magic Gardens")

Or leave it empty and use the [link text itself].
URLs and URLs in angle brackets will automatically get turned into links.

## Tables
Colons can be used to align columns.
| Tables | Are | Cool |
| ------------- |:-------------:| -----:|
| col 3 is | right-aligned | $1600 |
| col 2 is | centered | $12 |
| zebra stripes | are neat | $1 |
There must be at least 3 dashes separating each header cell.
The outer pipes (|) are optional, and you don't need to make the
raw Markdown line up prettily. You can also use inline Markdown.
To add a table, use three or more hyphens (---) to create each column’s header, and use pipes (|) to separate each column. You can optionally add pipes on either end of the table.
| Syntax | Description |
| ----------- | ----------- |
| Header | Title |
| Paragraph | Text |
The rendered output looks like this:
Syntax Description
Header Title
Paragraph Text
Cell widths can vary, as shown below. The rendered output will look the same.
| Syntax | Description |
| --- | ----------- |
| Header | Title |
| Paragraph | Text |
Alignment
You can align text in the columns to the left, right, or center by adding a colon (:) to the left, right, or on both side of the hyphens within the header row.
```
| Syntax | Description | Test Text |
| :--- | :----: | ---: |
| Header | Title | Here's this |
| Paragraph | Text | And more |
The rendered output looks like this:
